About our Founder
The Game Retail Academy was founded by Josh Fohrman in 2021 as an extension of learning for all game store owners. Josh began his foray into the game industry in 1999 as a Retail Sales Associate for a Wizards of the Coast store. Since then he’s gone on to open his own retail store which was awarded the GAMA Outstanding Store award in 2017, the WPN Premium designation in 2019, and numerous local accolades and acknowledgements. He has also volunteered his time to present at industry events across the United States and served on the GAMA Retail Board of DIrectors for several years.
